Pray without ceasing

“Pray without ceasing.” As we look at the topic of prayer, one scripture in the Bible says we are to “pray without ceasing”; or, to always be praying.

What does this mean? Many of us think of prayer as something we do at certain times of the day or week; we then stop praying and go about our daily business. But when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, Christ Himself comes and lives in our hearts and lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said “I will be with you always, even to the end of the world.”

So if Jesus will be with us always, that means He is with you as a Christian when you wake up and when you go to sleep, when you ride in a car and when you work in the kitchen — Jesus is with you. So you can talk to God anytime! Are you feeling sad? Talk to God and ask for His help. Are you concerned for a loved one? Pray to God and ask Him to bless your loved one. Are you feeling happy? Thank and praise God for all His blessings to you. You can talk to God silently, since He hears your heart, or you can talk to Him out loud. Always pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, but you can talk to God throughout your day. He hears you and loves you and loves to hear your prayers.

So this week, let us pray that

  • God will help us talk to Him throughout our days and week
  • God will bless and protect our staff team here at Global Media Outreach
  • God will help us provide more and more Christian teaching and help to the many people who come to Jesus

THANK YOU so much for your prayers! God delights in the prayers of His people — and we at Global Media Outreach so appreciate your prayers. God hears and answers believing prayer from Christians all around the world!

May God richly bless you,
