All about Prayer

What does it mean to pray? It means to talk with God. Just think about what an amazing privilege this is. The God of the entire universe — the One who created the whole world and has all power and authority — wants to talk with you!

So how do we talk with God? One good thing is to be quiet and listen. Sometimes we are good at asking God for things, and this is good and important. But if you were talking with a friend and all you did was ask for things, wouldn’t your friend think that was one-sided conversation? It is better if you do some talking and some listening.

How do you listen to God? God does not usually speak to you so you can hear. However, as you are quiet before God, God can speak to your heart through His peace in your heart. God can also speak to you as you read His Word the Bible. You can also express your love to God and tell Him that you love Him.

So this week, let us pray that

• Ask God to speak to our hearts
• Ask God to help us reach many more millions for Jesus Christ
• Ask God to protect our staff at Global Media Outreach and fill us with His joy and His Holy Spirit
