I am talking about the "New World Order". Today the nations of the world are woven together by a global economy and shared technologies like never before. This reality is no longer a distant fantasy or a secret conspiracy theory. In a recent news conference, Britain's Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, talked about a "New World Order".
You may be surprised to learn that thousands of years ago the Bible predicted a global world power would exercise great influence just before the time of the end, and the return of Jesus Christ to this earth.
The prophet Daniel foretold of a national leader to head this new world order: "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; he shall destroy fearfully, and shall prosper and thrive…through his cunning, he shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; and he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in prosperity." (Daniel 8:23-25)
For the first time in history all the pieces are in place to bring the prophecies together—technology, the global economy, shared military resources, and common international goals.
We could very well be witnessing the early formation of this prophesied new world order to be lead by a powerful and influential personality.
