Dealing with Disappointment

Hebrews 13:8 ……… Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Even born again spirit-filled believers in Jesus Christ can get disappointed.
Of course, disappointment does not come from God. It is one of the weapons from the Devil’s arsenal. At every level and by whatever means, our enemy Satan, wants to undermine our faith to dishearten and discourage us.
If we allow ourselves to ride the emotional roller-coaster of emotions we will, inevitably, at some point become disappointed. Therefore, our focus is not on what the devil is doing and certainly not on what man doing, our focus must be fixed on what Jesus Christ is doing.
Jesus, our Lord; the same yesterday, today and forever. This Jesus who has already blessed us so abundantly will continue to do so. To counteract disappointment we simply need to count our blessings.
What has Jesus done for us? He died and rose again to save us and to give us the hope of eternal life with Him. He baptised us with the Holy Spirit. He healed us and He set us free.
As we begin to remember the goodness of our God, joy begins to well-up within us. As we continue to remember, we are up on our feet applauding Jesus with a heart that is bursting with praise and thanksgiving; keep going and we will walk and jump and shout out our adoration in our own language and in His heavenly language.
It does not take long to send the Devil fleeing. By fixing our focus on our wonderful Jesus we can easily overcome any negative attempts to make us feel disappointed.
Jesus Christ is Lord and He is in control. He has overcome and He has made us overcomers. Hallelujah!
Lord Jesus, You never change, you always want to bless us. Amen
