The Power of Prayer

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

The Power of Prayer. Why is believing prayer in Jesus’ name so powerful? It is because God is so powerful! God has said when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we become children of God. And God loves to answer the prayers of His children!

Jesus said, “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!” God loves us and He loves to spend time with us. So when you pray, take some time and enjoy God’s presence. Be silent before Him; ask Him to speak to your heart.

And you can pour out your requests to your loving heavenly Father. Even though we all have done things that are wrong, when we ask forgiveness of our sins in Jesus’ name and accept Christ as our Savior our sins are forgiven. You can ask God to forgive your sins; you can pray for your family and loved ones; you can ask God for wisdom; you can ask Him to give you His love and patience with those around you. Your heavenly Father loves to have you pray and there is great power in prayer because God who hears and answers you is all-powerful and loving.

So, this week, let us pray and ask God to

• Help us reach even more millions with the good news of Jesus Christ
• Forgive our sins and help us to walk in humility and holiness of the truth
• Protect ministers of the gospel here and all around the world
